Preschool is Coming to William Ford!

William Ford was recently awarded a four-year old preschool for the 2016-2017 school year!  The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a Michigan state-funded preschool program for four-year olds.  We are very excited to be able to offer this program to the families of students who will attend William Ford for elementary school.  Priority will be given to qualified four-year olds who already have a sibling at William Ford Elementary.  However, students may also attend GSRP at Cotter.  For more information you may contact Cotter & GSRP at 3020 Osborn St., Dearborn, Michigan 48126.  The phone number is 313-827-6150.  You may also contact the school office at William Ford at 313-827-6400.

Dearborn Night Out on Crime

The Dearborn Police Department invites all residents to attend National Night Out on crime at the Police Station on Tuesday, August 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This is a free event sponsored by Target Stores and the Dearborn Police Department. In addition to increasing awareness of crime prevention programs, National Night Out also strengthens neighborhood spirit and community-police partnerships, while sending a message to criminals that “neighborhoods are organized, working with police and are fighting back against crime.”
Chief Haddad stated, “Dearborn is a prime example of a community that works in partnership with its police department and the private sector.  Together these partnerships have made real strides in crime prevention and quality of life issues.”
This year’s event will be in the Police Department’s east parking lot, and will include free hot dogs, drinks and ice cream and plenty of activities.
