Welcome Back to school William Ford Families! Our staff is very excited to open the doors to our students on Monday, August 30th. It has been nearly 18 months since we invited all of our students back to school together. We are ready! See below a few reminders for the new school year, the calendar for the first two weeks, and arrival and dismissal doors.

If you were unable to attend the Ice Cream Social on Friday to meet your teacher, student classroom assignments will be posted on the office windows by 5:00 on Sunday, August 29th.

All students MUST wear a mask inside the school. Please make sure your child comes with a mask, and 2-3 extras in their backpack. They will be able to remove the mask when they eat or drink, and while outside for recess.

New times for Elementary School. Our school day is now 9:00-3:55. The doors will not open for students until 8:55. Please do NOT drop your child off prior to 8:55 unless they are going to eat breakfast.

Breakfast is from 8:35-9:00. Do NOT drop your child off for breakfast before 8:35. They will not be supervised. No breakfast on the first day of school.

All adults who have business in the office may enter but MUST wear a mask.

If your child is feeling sick, please stay home until they are feeling better. Please review the self-screening of your child prior to sending them to school.

Calendar for the First Two Weeks of School

* Monday, August 30th First Day of School, 12:05 Dismissal, NO Breakfast on the first day of school.

* Tuesday, August 31st – Thursday, September 2nd – Full day of school for students in grades 1st-5th, 9:00-3:55 (NEW times!)

* Friday, September 3rd – Monday, September 6th – NO School, Labor Day Weekend

* Tuesday, September 7th Full Days of School Resume for students in grades 1st-5th (9:00-3:55)

***Please Note: Kindergarten ONLY will have HALF Days from August 30th-September 10th, 12:05 Dismissal***

Arrival and Dismissal Doors

Kindergarten will arrive and dismiss through their classroom doors. Please note on the first day that all Kindergarteners are to report to the gym with their parents to meet the teacher and to go to their classroom.

First and Second Grades will arrive and dismiss through the Front Doors – Door Number 1.

Third Grade will arrive and dismiss through Door #16 on Ternes.

Fourth Grade will arrive and dismiss through Door #14 – facing Ford Rd.

Fifth Grade will arrive and dismiss through Door #2 – parking lot door.
