Dearborn meets COVID measures, will start returning students to schools

Dearborn Public Schools is excited to announce the district has met the COVID measurements set by the Board of Education and will start phasing students and staff back to in-building learning. Please note below the VERY IMPORTANT parent meetings (via ZOOM) on Tuesday, Feb. 16th and Wednesday, Feb. 17th. Zoom link will be sent by email to you by your child’s classroom teacher.

The reopening schedule will go as follows:

Thursday, February 11th

Asynchronous day for all students. Assignments will be posted.

Friday, February 12th 

No School for Students: Mid-winter break.

Monday, February 15th

No School for Students: Mid-winter break.

Tuesday, February 16th 

Asynchronous morning for all students. Assignments will be posted. No afternoon classes.

Parent Meetings via Zoom: Kindergarten, 10:15-10:45; First Grade, 11:00-11:30; Second Grade, 1:00-1:30; Third Grade, 1:45-2:15.

Wednesday, February 17th

Parent Meetings via Zoom: Fourth Grade, 10:00-10:30; Fifth Grade, 11:00-11:30

Thursday and Friday, February 18th-19th

In-Person Learning Labs begin. Teachers will contact parents with afternoon appointment times.  

Monday, February 22nd – Friday, February 26th

All learning labs continue this week. 

Monday, March 1st: Hybrid schedule begins, K-2, 6th & 9th Grades

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students start in-school hybrid schedule at William Ford. Students are split into an A and B group. A Group attends in-person on Monday & Thursday, B Group attends on Tuesday & Friday.

Monday, March 8th: Hybrid schedule begins, PK, 3rd-5th, 7th & 10th Grades

Preschool, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students start in-school hybrid schedule at William Ford. Students are split into an A and B group. A Group attends in-person on Monday & Thursday, B Group attends on Tuesday & Friday.

Monday, March 15th: Hybrid schedule begins,  8th, 11th and 12th Grades.
